PRINCIPAL'S PIECE
As we move through the term, there are several important updates and celebrations I wish to share with you.

Upcoming Community Meetings & Consultation
We have several important opportunities for you to get involved and share your voice in the coming weeks. Please mark your calendars:
-
Friends of Howick Primary School Meeting: All are welcome to join our fantastic parent group on Monday, the 15th of September, in the staffroom. This is a great way to meet other parents and help support our school events.
-
Hui a Whānau: Our consultation is confirmed for Tuesday, the 16th of September. We warmly invite our Māori whānau to this important kōrero.
-
Community Consultation (Date Change): Please note a change of date for our wider community consultation evening to help shape the strategic plan for the next four years. This has been shifted from next Tuesday and will now be held on Thursday, the 18th of September. We hope to see as many of you there as possible.

Congratulations to our Year 6 Gymnasts!
A huge congratulations to our Year 6 Gymnastics team, who represented our school with pride and skill at the Champion of Champions tournament. You should all be very proud of your hard work and performance. A special thank you must go to Mr G for his outstanding guidance and coaching of this team. Well done, everyone!

A Note on Health and Wellbeing
As is common this term, we have seen an increase in sickness across the school. We kindly ask for your continued support in keeping our community healthy by ensuring your child stays at home if they are feeling unwell. Your cooperation helps minimise the spread of winter bugs and ensures a safer learning environment for all our students and staff.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership in your child's education.
